The last couple of weeks I’ve been working with two different webpages. The HTML version of our classpromotion site 53colors.com and also with telefonplan.com. It has been alot of work, and alot of jQuery but I’ve been working with some great people and we made it happend.

Here are a few tips on how to make it even better.

Better search options!

There are a few search strings to make it easier for you to find what you are looking for or to discover new music.

Use the title: to serach only for song titles, for example example title:madonna will give you songs with the name madonna in them and wont give you any results from the artist madonna.

In the same way you can search for album: and artist:

To refine your search results even more you can use year, a range of years or genre. for example year:1985 will give you songs produced in the year 1985. If you want to find song from 1985-1990 just type year:1985-1990.

You can also search by genres by typing genre:, for example genre:rock. 

Now if you want to be even more advanced then that you can combine different search strings. Let’s say that you are looking for some oldschool rock from the 40-50s or some nice electro from today then use genre:rock year:1940-1950 OR genre:electro year:2000-2009.

The important part is to write OR in big letters or else it wont work. In the same way you can use the NOT string if there is something you don’t want to show up in the search results for example genre:rock year:1940-1950 NOT album:Oar.

Summary search tags:

title: Search for a specific word in a songs title.
album: Search for a specific word in an album title.
artist: Search for a specific artist.
year: Search for music from a specific year, can also be used to search in a time range.
genre: Search fo a specific music genre.
OR  use OR to combine two specific search strings.
NOT use NOT to avoid something in a search result.

So today we have a whole day here at Hyper Island to talk about the four room model. It describes four different states that you constantly go through.

The two rooms to the left describes people who often say no. The upper right is the positive feeling of saying no. The bootom right is the negative feeling of saying no. The upper right is the positiv about saying yes and the bottom right the negative about saying yes. There is alot more to it, but it’s pretty intereresting.
